Mt. Shirataka is heap of faith to enshrine one of the Japanese five components thin air Kura Fukuman Daikokuzo-son from the highest peak of 994m, and to represent native district.
It is full of people of much prayer for festival of May 13.
We walk walk Courses (from Mt. Shirataka plateau ranch Exit) of approximately 4km that beech forest and camellia bloom and aim at top.
Of "Yozan" of Yozan Uesugi said to be benevolent lord is said to be thing by this mountain.
Milk cow which we hang in Mt. Shirataka plateau ranch in halfway up a mountain of Mt. Shirataka in the middle of October from the middle of May, and dairy farmer of Nanyo-shi and Shiratakamachi brought up is put out to pasture.
We can come across wild fox with luck.
