Tsurugaoka Castle ruins つるがおかじょうし
kenzoku which perceived that Daiho Castle (nochino Tsuruoka Castle) was blessed with geographical conditions widened moat deeply in order to cope with gun and we did fieldwork impregnably and added restoration and built the basics of modern castle.
For approximately 250 years, it became castle of the Shonai feudal lord, Sakais afterwards.
We are maintained as city park, and beautiful flowers are in full bloom now through the four seasons.
In spring in particular, 800 cherry trees are in full glory and are chosen as "100 selections of Japanese cherry trees".
