Maizuruyama is a symbol of the city
Located in the center of Tendo-shi, Maizuruyama attracts widespread popularity of residents as a symbol of the city. Its mountaintop observatory space (re-repaired in 2009) has a view of Gassan, Asahi Peaks, Mogamigawa and so on.
Maizurusan is also know for the magnificent cherry trees. Tendo Sakura Festival “Human Japanese Chess” takes place under 2,000 cherry trees on weekends in late April.
