Memento, manuscript of hiromekai are displayed, and, in children's story room, there are "red oni which cried" and reading room, cafe corner where it is on at multi-screen and is facility which you can enjoy toward adult let alone children.

Pioneer, Hirosuke Hamada of modern Japanese juvenile literature are born as the eldest son of farmhouse in Ipponyanagi, Takahata-machi in 1893. From Yonezawa Junior High School (existing kenritsubeisawakyoyuzurikankoko), learn from the Waseda University Department of English literature, the children's story ray 50 rest of life. "mukudorinoyume" "red oni which cried" "tears of ryuno eyes" are said to be naturally comfortable hometown where basis of the children's story is rich and deep love to mother including the maiden work "golden bundle of rice plants".
It was recommended as the Takahata-machi's first honorary townsman in 1972, but passes away at 80 years old in autumn in the next year. The Hirosuke Hamada Memorial was built in May, 1989 to convey hiromekaidohanashi which was full of poetic sentiment filled with naive good will with simplicity in the future of the 21st century.

  • Remarks ・There is not step from parking lot to the hall, with wheelchair is movable.
    ・There is restroom for wheelchair in main building.
    ・Hiro be not crowded and installs done baby sheet and baby chair which we let baby sit down during the use and can put restroom, assistance toilet seat for small child of diaper substitute in ladies' room of hall.
    In addition, we have two wheelchairs always ready.
    On the use, please order at reception desk.

    ・Please refrain from admission by eating and drinking except appointed place in hall, photograph and video shoot in exhibition room and pet companion.
    In addition, pet companion would appreciate your putting on reed in site.
