Eminent haiku poet Basho Matsuo was below Mt. Haguro-san in 1689 and entered mansion of Shonai clansman Goro Nagayama gate-guard office Shigeyuki who lived under the Tsuruoka Castle.
As for Shigeyuki Nagayama, the mansion sign remains in Tsuruoka haiku world in people who made weight as great man of school of Basho with Prince ryogan and Kishimoto feather.
