Hojin-no-Ie (old border agent's residence) is house of government official following border
We were appointed to important cultural property as the oldest thing in private house in 1969.
In addition, it is famous for Yamagata Prefecture first as family where we stayed at in occasion of Oku-no-Hosomichi pilgrimage of Basho.
We are said to have been person of village headman of Shinjyo territory Sakaida-mura bordering the Sendai territory, this Old Ariji's residence house.
