The 33, Higashiyama Kannon

The 33, Higashiyama Kannon ひがしやまさんじゅうさんかんのん
This Ishibotoke group was enshrined on approach to a shrine of Kanai God Kannonnyama for cave-in disaster memorial service of Mori mine, but is said to have been moved to the present location in (1825) in 1825. It is to be "excellent work" for depth of carving, balance of figure, Ishibotoke where is in the latter half of the Edo era including beauty of expression. The damage was intense afterwards because building stones were tufa, and years passed; was enough, and was unknown, but was restored maintenance in 1989 by hand of various places and cultural properties protection association of Higashi Town and was enshrined on again this approach to a shrine. It is actually enshrined 28 bodies.
