Mt. Sugisawa Hiyama (drive evil gods away) すぎさわひやま
Refined dance country-designated important immaterial folk cultural assets to introduce style of the Kamakura era into in now
The ratio mountain is dedicated to Kumano Shrine in Sugisawa, Yuza-machi.
It is said that it comes from the Kamakura era when Kumano Shrine prospered in Mt. Chokai-san as dorter of Buddhist monk training himself/herself.
While local inhabitants inherit without a break, and restoration has not only dance to leave way of the Kamakura era for but also clothes, aspect, small tools made newly in the times in the time, it is said that we succeed to approximately original form.
It is dedicated, but all coming programs are staged three times on August 15.
Was appointed in important formlessness folk cultural assets in 1978.
