Enthusiastic, Brave Fire Festival on the Night of New Year’s Eve
One of the most famous festivals of Haguro-san held from New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day.
Two Yamabushi who have endured and completed their ascetic training for 100 days compete to prove which won the favor of the Devine.
Various sacred events are held such as Karasu-tobi and Kuniwake Shinji at Gosaiden, open space in front of Kagamiike, and Shitsuraeya from the noon of New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day before dawn.
